I am a nurse and cancer survivor. In 2015, I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer.
Going through chemo, radiation, and multiple surgeries, I saw the healthcare system from the patient’s side. What I found was a maze—confusing, overwhelming, and often isolating.

Why I Founded Shield Health Advocates
Shield Health Advocates was born out of that experience. I wanted others to have the advocate I once needed—someone who combines medical knowledge with lived understanding of how vulnerable it feels to be a patient.
Our mission is simple:
